Lloyd Instruments’ versatile NEXYGENPlus control and analysis software for the TAPlus texture analysis instrument provides a comprehensive library of industry-standard texture analysis, cosmetics, and packaging tests to AACC, ASTM, DIN, EN, ISO and other standards. This extensive standards library is supplied with every copy of NEXYGENPlus with no additional modules required. NEXYGENPlus also features complete test wizards for tension, compression, tearing, peeling, friction and flexural tests.
The huge built-in library of food test methods covers bakery, cereals, chocolate, confectionery, snacks, dairy, fruit, gels, hardness, pasta, pet food, meat and more. The NEXYGENPlus test creation wizard allows the operator to select results from the enormous test result library to calculate parameters such as adhesive force, firmness/hardness, chewiness, gumminess, cohesiveness, springiness, consistency to name but a few. In addition, NEXYGENPlus software provides a wide range of other useful features. These include , user-defined test creation, data collection, reporting and exporting of test data, video and still picture capture, test data security and audit trails, and test automation and customisation. The user configurable facility can be used to create specialist multi-stage tests and is particularly beneficial for texture profile analysis.
Video and stills capture is a unique feature of NEXYGENPlus software, which can be used for advanced texture analysis or presentation of tests results. By connecting a webcam to the controlling PC, entire tests can be videoed and synchronised with the stress/strain data and replayed for detailed post-test analysis. Alternatively, using an analogue video camera, still images can be taken at specific points during the test. These still images are recorded on the graph for easy analysis.
NEXYGENPlus software features a simple to use report designer linked to Microsoft® Word, allowing full manipulation of layouts, fonts and images. Integration with Microsoft Office allows seamless data transfer to Word and Excel® for further analysis and a versatile data export facility is available for LIMS, SPC or data management systems.
