Peel Jig for Testing Peel Cling of Stretch Wrap Film to ASTM D 5458 - 95 (Reapproved 2001) (100 N, 22.5 lbf)
A film strip is adhered to a flat film attached to the inclined surface.
The force measured is that required to remove the film strip from the flat film. Cling is of critical importance in maintaining a tight
wrap after a load is stretch wrapped.
Capacity
100 N, 22.5 lbf
Packaging
Includes peel test jig with adjustable feet
Applications
Used to determine the peel cling of stretch wrap film to ASTM D 5458 - 95 (Reapproved 2001)

90° Peel Jig for Determining the Peel Strength of Credit Card Layers to ISO/IEC 10373-1:2006(E): TG113
The purpose of this jig is to measure the peel strength between card layers. The grip clamps the prepared card test layer so that the peeling angle of 90° is maintained during measurement.
Capacity
200 N, 44.9 lbf
Packaging
Includes upper grip and lower fixture.
Applications
Used for performing 90° peel tests on plastic identification cards including credit cards, loyalty cards, membership cards etc in accordance with ISO/IEC 10373-1:2006(E).

90° Peel Strength Fixture (200 N, 45 lbf)
This fixture features a self-adjusting sliding bed for 90° peel tests. The test plate moves freely in a horizontal position when the pressure sensitive material is removed in order to maintain a 90° peel angle.
Note: The test plate must be supplied by the customer. The FINAT standard states that plate glass should be used. If stainless steel or aluminium is used as a substitute, it should be stated with the recorded results.
Capacity
200N (45 lbf)
Packaging
Includes upper fixture and lower sliding bed. Does not include test plate. Upper fixture is available separately.
Applications
Used for peel tests on a wide rang eof materials including sealing tape, labels, laminated coatings etc.
This fixture is ideal for use in tests that need to comply with BS5350: Part C10 and FINAT Test method No. 2 (FTM 2) - Peel Adhesion, 90° at 300 mm/min).

Climbing Drum Peel Test Fixture (2.5 kN, 562 lbf)
This peel test fixture consists of a flanged drum and flexible loading straps or cables. A drum clamp is used to securely hold the adherent against the drum face. The drum is balanced about axis using counter weights placed diametrically opposed to the drum clamp to compensate for the clamp mass.
Capacity
2.5 kN (562 lbf)
Packaging
Includes fixture and loading straps.
Applications
Used to determine the resistance of joints to perpendicular peel stresses on an adhesive layer. Applicable to the testing of joints between an outer metal sheet and the core of sandwiched assemblies, eg. honeycomb or other forms of composites. The adherents are separated steadily by the action of a revolving drum, which rotates by the application of a tensile force from the associated testing machine.

Circular Adhesive Grips (2.5 kN, 562 lbf)
These grips come with a detachable upper and lower circular plate made of hardened steel. Ball socket mounting screws keep the top plate and bottom plates parallel and perpendicular to the applied force.
Capacity
2.5 kN, 562 lbf
Packaging
Includes upper and lower grip. Top and bottom grips may be ordered separately.
Applications
Used for general purpose adhesion testing.

Shouldered Grip for Adhesive Test (5 kN, 1124 lbf)
This fixture consists of two bobbin holders with a slot in the shoulder to allow the bobbins to be easily inserted. The adhesive to be tested, is applied to the square surface of each bobbin, then the bobbins are held together until the adhesive is set. The assembly is then slid into the slots of each holder and the tensile test performed.
The grip is supplied complete with six bobbins so three tests can be performed in a batch. After each test, the adhesive is removed ready to the next test. Bobbins are also suitable for testing sealants and mastics.
Capacity
5 kN, 1124 lbf
Packaging
Includes upper and lower bobbin holders and six bobbins.
Applications
Used to determine the adhesion properties of adhesives, sealants and mastics by measuring the minimum tensile stress neccessary to detach or rupture the coating.
